…and they are the Swedish shoe specialists. 

KAVAT has been making shoes since 1945 with a strong focus on making great shoes from natural materials. This commitment to quality dates back decades to when KAVAT founder, Ragnar Karlsson expressed his statement: “No damn garbage!” 

More than 70 years later the world has changed. The footwear industry has changed. But KAVAT’s promise to Ragnar - and their customers - has not. 

But it’s not just the world that has changed. Customers have changed. And what they expect from retailers has changed too. In fact, customer behavior is evolving all the time. 

KAVAT identified this and knew, to deliver the kind of experience they want their customers to have, that they had to change with the times. As well as external factors such as customer behavior and changes in the retail landscape, KAVAT saw the need for an ‘organized backbone’ running through the spine of their organization. 

They needed to simplify systems and processes to benefit their colleagues, customers and the business. They weren’t able to provide the service they wanted because the organization was slow, clunky and sluggish. Everything took time. 

In short, KAVAT’s IT architecture and retail software were not fit for purpose for a modern, fast, flexible retailer. 

KAVAT shifted their mindset in terms of retail software. They scaled back unnecessary systems and honed their focus on finding solutions that would empower them to give their customers what they want.
