The ARKK story began on a summer night in 2014, when lifelong friends Thomas Refdahl and Kasper Høj Rasmussen, inspired (and fueled) by a few gin and tonics, decided to turn a big idea into reality. Their mission? To create a sneaker that was not only comfortable and functional but also a true embodiment of Scandinavian minimalist design. Eighteen months later, after countless sleepless nights, the first ARKK sneaker - the Raven - hit the shelves…and then promptly sold out. Since that moment, ARKK has been on an unstoppable journey.
For ARKK, sneaker design is never a finished process - it’s a journey of continuous innovation. Much like fashion, art, and architecture, each new sneaker and every new collection is a step forward, a chance to learn, grow, and experiment. Inspired by the great Scandinavian designers who came before them, ARKK lives by the question, ‘what if?’ It’s this spirit of curiosity and obsession with comfort that drives them to push boundaries and redefine what a sneaker can be.
