One of the UK’s most historic boutiques fashion brands, Sunspel, have moved one step closer to making unified commerce a reality by choosing leading Swedish tech company, Sitoo, as their POS provider.
Sunspel, founded in 1860, are renowned for quality and classic design creating timeless pieces of clothing that are worn again and again. With stores across the globe and a growing online offering, Sunspel wanted to find a POS platform which would allow them to take their industry-leading customer experience to the next level while also supporting omnichannel retail.
It was this that led them to Sitoo.
“We were reaching the end of the contract with our old POS system but what we really wanted was something that would enable us to move to being a multi channel business,” says Melissa Jones, Head of Retail at Sunspel.
"We want to be able to sell in-store from our online warehouse and from other store stocks so customers feel like we offer everything from one location. The main focus in our business is to make our customer experience the best we can have in a retail environment."
“With Sitoo it will give us the option to offer gift cards online, which we’ve never been able to do before, and as a second step we have the option to offer click and collect, delivery to the customer’s home, and move stock from one store to another. It makes everything so much easier for our customers and creates a more rounded feel to the experience they have shopping with us.”
The flexibility of Sitoo’s platform alongside its functionality were all part of the attraction for Sunspel alongside the ability to dramatically improve stock management. Previously, Sunspel relied on multiple systems – making stock management clunky and labour intensive. Now, it can all be done through Sitoo.
With Sitoo now live in all their stores, the future’s looking bright for Suspel despite the challenges 2020 has thrown at the company.
“Of course, right now, footfall is an issue,” adds Melissa. “That’s why it’s more important than ever before that we don’t miss any opportunities in store and move closer to having a full omnichannel offering, which Sitoo will help us do.”
